Tim Thompson is proud to again represent the Quicksilver line of ultra light aircraft.

Mile O Micro-lites was the dealership in Northern BC in the 1980’s. We had a lot of fun back then. Meeting new owners and student pilots people from all over British Columbia and Alberta. It was fascinating to work with Eipper Formance in the early development of the industry. Eipper Aircraft, was turning in to a very dynamic company. It had all the intellectual properties to develop into a very competent and professional manufacture of ultra light aircraft.

An excellent Quality Assurance Department and an R&D Department that was the envy of the aviation industry. Quicksilver’s were selling more than all general aviation aircraft combined. New models and innovative additions where a common event.

Eipper dealers lead the way in training new pilots and were given the reigns to develop the training syllabus and test the new students while physically performing flight training in the Quicksilver MXII. Tim closed the dealership in the early 1990’s as the sport took a hiatus, there was just too much negative media about the industry and sales declined.

Now in 2008 Quicksilver Aircraft Canada Ltd. is the new British Columbia and Alberta dealer for Quicksilver Manufacturing, Inc. Located in Salmon Arm, B.C. The dealership is new and working closely with Todd Ellefson at the factory it has been a pleasure getting the business up and going.

It was obvious when the new kits arrived that nothing has changed with quality - it is truly first rate, top drawer. 

I believe that float flying will be a vital part of the new dealership. Salmon Arm is located on one of the most beautiful lakes in North America, with 1000 km of lakeshore. The area lends itself to lots of exploring and of course the weather is really conducive to flying off the water. It ends up that the Salmon Arm area and airport is really a hot bed for ultra light aircraft. In fact, a great majority of the UL pilots around here where trained on a Quicksilver MXII by John McDermott. John is a Transport Canada UL flight Instructor and flight examiner. Operating out of the Salmon Arm Airport, Lake Land Ultralights is the flight school used by Quicksilver Aircraft Canada Ltd.
